Dr. Hitaishi V

I work on how light behaves inside chalcogenide waveguides: supercontinuum generation, dispersion, and sensors. Lately I'm pulling machine learning into the optics toolbox.

Education & CV

I'm a physicist. Most of my days go into coaxing light through chalcogenide waveguides: engineering dispersion, generating supercontinua, and occasionally breaking things in FDTD simulations so they don't break in the lab.

My Ph.D. at VIT-AP University was on mid-infrared supercontinuum generation and photonic device design. These days I am also working with physics-informed machine learning (PINNs) and inverse design for structured light in fiber systems.
